With an introductory short biography Findens and numerous full-page portraits of women engraved in steel in oval frame ornaments, on cardboard sheets with accompanying texts.

Bordeaux-red original half leather binding in folio format 38 x 27 cm with gold-embossed title on the spine and rich gold-embossed ornamentation that covers the entire spine of the book; both book covers with gold-stamped floaral ornamentation and large leather corners; three-sided gilt edging.

Buchrücken leicht berieben; Deckelbezüge etwas angerstaubt; Seiten partiell etwas fleckig, einige Seiten stärker. In toto gutes Exemplar des aufwendig gestalteten Porträtbandes. Spine slightly rubbed; Lid covers a little bit dusty; Sides a bit stained in places, some pages stronger. In all good copy of the elaborately designed portrait volume.
